In-Home Cognitive Assessment

Neuropsychology at your doorstep. For when you want expert neuropsychological assessments in the comfort of your home. I have visited many homes over the years, for reasons ranging from mobility limitations to concerns for elder self-neglect.

    • Comfort & Familiarity
Undergoing testing in a familiar environment helps reduce anxiety and maximizes performance—providing more authentic insights into your daily cognitive functioning.

    • Convenience & Accessibility
No need to arrange travel. I come to you—ideal for those with mobility challenges, busy schedules, or caregivers who prefer simpler logistics.

    • Insightful Ecological Validity
Observing how you think and behave in your own environment gives us valuable context we simply can’t get in a clinic.

  • Q: Are in-home assessments as reliable as those in a clinic?
A: Absolutely. I use the same standardized, research-backed tests and follow strict testing protocols to ensure reliability and validity.

Q: Is this considered a “concierge service”?
A: While the term suggests luxury, my priority is personalized, evidence-based care. I prefer “in-home neuropsychological assessment” to accurately reflect what I offer.

Q: What do you need from me at home?
A: A quiet, well-lit space—like a living room, den, or dining area—is all that’s required. I bring all testing materials.

    1. Personalized Intake
We’ll begin with a virtual or phone consultation to understand your concerns, goals, and home environment.

    2. At‑Home Session
During the in-home visit, all we need is a quiet space we can administer tests with privacy. If a table and chairs are needed, I can bring them. I administer a full battery of standardized tests—memory, attention, executive function, mood, language—all within your comfortable surroundings.

    3. Tailored Feedback & Recommendations
You’ll receive a clear, jargon-free report addressing your strengths, challenges, and real-world implications—plus individualized recommendations for therapy, accommodations, or educational supports.

  • My typical hourly rate for assessment applies for in-home assessments, plus hourly travel fees based on the distance from San Marcos, CA to your location (plus anticipated traffic). Medicare is accepted for in-home assessments.
